Razer Blade Laptop Review

Razer Blade laptop 15 2018 h2 has earned a reputation for being one of the sleekest gaming laptops on the market, which comes as no surprise given its premium build quality and laser-cut speaker grills on its frame.

This keyboard design is similar to its predecessor, with slightly larger keys and a power button integrated into the keyboard.

Powered by NVIDIA® GeForce® RTXTM graphics

The Razer Blade laptop is powered by NVIDIA(r) GeForce(r) RTXTM graphics technology, offering an unprecedented gaming experience. This includes higher refresh rates and resolution options for a more immersive gameplay.

GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs boast NVIDIA Max-Q* technologies, offering up to two times the performance of previous generations at just one third the power consumption.* Additionally, NVIDIA DLSS 3 reduces system overhead for ultra-precise gaming visuals and high frame rates for an immersive gameplay experience.

Studio laptops bring your imagination to life with up to two times the rendering power of previous generation GPUs and exclusive tools for AI-accelerated content creation across your favorite apps.

GeForce RTX 30 Series laptop performance has been designed for today’s modern world, providing unparalleled laptop performance in top creative applications like editing HDR video, designing 3D models or livestreaming at ultrahigh resolutions. Thanks to NVIDIA Studio platform drivers and exclusive tools, RTX unlocks powerful features in popular creative apps so that you can go from zero to ultraspeed in record time.

Powered by Intel® CoreTM i9 processors

Gaming demands power, and the Razer Blade laptop provides it in abundance. Equipped with a GeForce(r) RTXTM 4090 GPU and Intel(r) CoreTM i9 processors for more graphical power per inch than ever before, you’ll have everything needed to game or create anywhere your imagination takes you – from home to the workplace!

For gamers seeking something more powerful, the Razer Blade 18 offers unbeatable performance in your palm. Additionally, with its 24-core Core i9 CPU and RTX 2080 GPU combination, users can push performance beyond factory limits with the latest Razer Synapse update.

Testing Red Dead Redemption 2 on the Blade 17 with QHD resolution and ultra graphics settings was quite impressive; the system ran at an average frame rate of 72 frames per second in this test.

Powered by DDR4 memory

Razer’s Blade laptop is an impressive gaming machine with a stylish design and plenty of port options. It comes in various configurations, from Intel Core i7 to RTX graphics cards with up to 64GB RAM.

The Blade 15 is also offered in 4K resolution with 144Hz refresh rate, or Full HD with 240Hz refresh rate. This latter option is ideal for high-octane games like Call of Duty or Apex Legends since it enhances the amount of detail visible onscreen.

Razer has recently unveiled their Blade 14 with AMD’s Ryzen processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics, setting a new standard. This sleek model can handle demanding 3D games with ease but may experience thermal throttling when running at higher resolutions.

Powered by Windows 10

For Windows 10 gamers looking for a top-of-the-line gaming laptop, the Razer Blade laptop is an excellent option. Its stylish design makes it comfortable to hold, while offering powerful components in a lightweight and portable chassis.

One of the greatest features of the Blade is that it doesn’t get too hot when used for prolonged periods. This is due to its cool palm rest and keyboard deck, with heat dissipated from its rear rather than sides or top.

Last year’s model has been improved with some minor details, like moving the power button to the upper-right corner instead of in the top right speaker grille. Other notable upgrades include larger keycaps and Razer’s signature per-key Chroma lighting.

Enhanced M.2 Storage

The Razer Blade laptop boasts an enhanced M.2 storage solution with improved read and write speeds. While it’s not a major upgrade, having this option on hand is always nice to have at your disposal.

Razer’s Blade 15 laptop is the thinnest and lightest model of 2023, weighing in at less than four and a half pounds. It boasts Intel’s 13th generation Core i7 13800H processor alongside NVIDIA’s latest GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs up to the RTX 4070.

The Blade 15 boasts a 16:9 QHD 240Hz display that offers sharp visuals with an impressive 2.5ms response time and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. With its additional M.2 slot capacity of up to 4TB and easily upgradeable RAM of up to 64GB DDR5-5200MHz, the laptop can accommodate plenty of storage needs.
