Known as the “Banker to Every Indian,” State Bank of India is known for providing different types of SBI debit card and types of SBI credit card that are made to meet the demands of all customers. It should come as no surprise that millions of Indians currently use one or both of the bank’s debit and credit cards.

SBI debit cardholders are given many benefits, for example, SMS Updates, SBI rewards, discounts, and insurance and up to five free ATM transactions each month. Let’s discuss different types of SBI debit card and types of SBI credit card in this blog. 

SBI My Card International Image Debit Card: This card is international, as its name implies, and can be used by over 30 million merchant outlets across the world to make online and offline purchases. The purchases you can do varies from booking movie tickets, paying bills, reserving travel tickets, etc. Apart from that, it can also be used to withdraw cash from SBI or any other ATM. 

SBI Mumbai Metro Combo Card: This types of SBI debit card is there to ensure you can ride without fuss on the Mumbai Metro. The card serves as a payment and access card at Mumbai’s metro stations and grants metro commuters a variety of advantages. You can also shop at more than 10 lakh merchant outlets throughout India and on your purchases, you can earn SBI Rewardz points. The card allows the holder to receive 2 SBI Rewardz Points on every spending Rs. 200 on shopping, dining, fuel, travel booking, and online. You wil get 200 activation bonus points for your first three transactions if done within a month. 

The card permits the holder to make up to 40,000 rupees worth of withdrawals every day from ATMs. The cardholder may also use it to make purchases up to Rs. 75,000 at any POS terminal or online store.

And, like with every other card, the individual must have an SBI account and be between 21 and 60 years of age. 

SBI Global Debit Card: It is absolutely simple to obtain the SBI Global International Debit Card and the best part is it doesn’t come with any issue fees. You must, however, pay a yearly maintenance fee of Rs. 175 plus GST.

The user can make purchases both online and at POS terminals with this card, just as with other types of SBI debit card such as SBI Visa Global Debit Cards, and they can also make as-needed withdrawals from ATMs located all over the world.

The cardholder is permitted to withdraw up to Rs. 40,000 domestically or abroad. There is no daily transaction limit for purchases made within the country. However, the POS transaction limit for foreign purchases is Rs. 75,000, and the maximum for online transactions is (or the equivalent).

Every time someone uses the card to make a purchase, they can also earn Freedom Rewardz Points. For instance, the user receives 50 points when they make their first purchase with the card within 30 days of its issuance, while they receive 100 points when they make their third transaction within those same 30 days. After that, the cardholder receives 1 Freedom Rewardz Point for every Rs. 200 spent. The user can double their Freedom Rewardz points after using the card at least three times in a given quarter.

If you want to be eligible for the SBI Global Debit Card, you must be between the ages of 21 and 60.

Gold SBI Debit Card: The SBI Gold International Debit Card allows the user a higher transaction and cash withdrawal limit. The maximum daily cash withdrawal allowed with this card is Rs. 50,000. (domestic and international). The transaction limit, however, is Rs. 2 Lakh for POS terminals and Rs. 50,000 for online payments. A purchase protection insurance of Rs. 5,000 is also included with the SBI Gold International Debit Card, in addition to accidental death insurance up to Rs. 2 lakh. You must request an international debit card from the bank and be between the ages of 21 and 60 to obtain this card.

Type of Credit Cards

SBI Card Air India-SBI Signature Credit Card: For every Rs 100 spent on Air India tickets purchased through the Air India portals and app, the SBI Signature Credit Card offers up to 30 reward points, free membership in the Air India Frequent Flyer program Flying Returns, and free Priority Pass Program access to over 600 airport lounges. Your reward points can be exchanged for Air India miles at a rate of one reward point for every Air India mile. The cardholder is entitled to eight free trips per year to India’s domestic visa lounges. This card comes with an annual cost of Rs 4,999. The card is available for Rs. 250 + GST for the issue fee, and Rs. 175 + GST for the annual maintenance fee, starting in the second year. The card permits the user to make purchases at POS terminals or online stores for up to Rs. 75,000 per day, with a daily cap on foreign currency withdrawals of Rs. 40,000. However, there is a Rs. 50,000 ceiling on the transactional maximum (at select websites). You must request an overseas Debit Card from the bank and be between the ages of 21 and 60.

SBI SimplySave credit card: If you spend a lot of money every day as a salaried person on things like meals, entertainment, movies, and shopping at department shops, this types of credit card is for you. Every purchase made with the SBI SimplySaveCard comes with up to ten times more rewards. Per purchase, the SBI SimplySave credit card offers a sizable amount of reward points that may be redeemed for items from the SBI rewards catalogue. You can get up to 2,000 reward points as a welcome bonus if you’re a new user and make purchases within the first two months. The reward points are equal to the rupee value of your purchase. The regular renewal rate is just Rs. 499, in contrast to other types of credit card with substantial renewal fees. 

SBI SimplyClick credit card: If you frequently shop online, the SBI SimplyClick credit card could save your life and one such types of SBI credit card you might need. You receive 10x credit card rewards from partner websites and 5x rewards from non-partner websites in addition to incentives for every transaction. For every 100 spent, you earn 1 reward point. On purchases made online through linked websites, the reward is 10X; on purchases made on other websites, it is 5X.
